Natural Resource Use in the Group of 20: Status, trends, and solutions
Library
Background material
Nature is declining globally at rates unprecedented in human history — and the rate of species extinctions is accelerating, with grave impacts on people. This collection of factsheets was prepared in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment of Japan and the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies, as a contribution to the G20 Resource Efficiency Dialogue 2019 in Japan. The documents are based on research completed by the IRP for the report “Global Resources Outlook 2019: Natural Resources for the Future We Want". Better and more efficient production and use of natural resources can be one of the most cost-efficient and effective ways to reduce impacts on the environment (including pollution) and advance human well-being.
