Eight actionable priorities for biodiversity
Library
Communication material
In spring 2021, EU International Partnerships convened a high-level group of experts to discuss priority areas in which the EU could work effectively with its global partners to address the interlinked biodiversity and climate crises whilst ensuring green growth for populations around the world. The group agreed on eight priorities, comprising 4 thematic and 4 cross-cutting themes.
The Eight Actionable Priorities were unveiled at the European Development Days in June 2021. They are intended to steer the implementation of future EU cooperation programmes and feed the debate on an ambitious Global Framework for Biodiversity to be adopted at the UN Biodiversity Convention (COP 15) in Kunming.
