The International Disability and Development Consortium (IDDC) organises a photo contest on the framework of the European Disability and Development Week, which celebrates the International Day of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
Historically, persons with disabilities have been perceived as subjects instead as active agents. The photo contest aims to highlight challenges for persons with disabilities in a positive perspective, based on human rights based approach.
