Final National Conference of UNIDO Resrouce Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP) Demonstration Component under Greening Economies in the European Union's Eastern Partnership Countries (EaP GREEN) Programme financed by the European Union will be organized in Chisinau, Moldova as one of six national conferences organized in each of six countries of the EaP region to bring results of RECP implementation to support SMEs in selected sectors.
National Resource Efficien and Cleaner Production Conference will gather the key stakeholders and parties interested in active dissemination and implementation of RECP in Moldova, including the representatives of local governments, production enterprises, public institutions, professional organisations, regulating authorities, representatives of academic sector and general public.
National RECP Conference will reflect on status and implementation of RECP at circa 80 enterprises and organisations, including testimonials from companies’ representatives on benefits realised applying RECP practices and methods to production processes. The achieved benefits at these companies are monitored and will be visualised using a set of RECP performance indicators for growing Resource Productivity and declining Pollution Intensity measured per unit of product output / service rendered. The benefits of RECP indicators as a measurement tool of enterprise’s success will be further promoted and necessary clarifications will be provided to the companies / organisations interested in applying RECP indicators to their processes.
Specific part of the conference will be dedicated to RECP Clubs in four regions of Moldova - a UNIDO mechanism to scale up RECP adaptation through cooperation with municipal authorities in selected regions of the country to create peer to peer consultation platform for RECP.
A set of support and reference materials to further sustain results of the RECP Demonstration component will be made available at the conference, including:
RECP Primer for Moldova - to set framework on methodology application in the country;
RECP Club Facilitator Manual and Workbook - to support further club establishement in different regions of the country; as well as
Business cases on RECP application results in demonstration SMEs
